Queen Redburga is truly a gracious queen in our kennel! Named after the first Queen of England, she has really fit into the mold of true British royalty! She has developed into an elegant, regal female and is very deep, fox red. That is why we call her “Red”.
She has a short, dense coat of hair that is very weather resistant and really shines. Her otter tail is the perfect length. She has a clean cut head with a broad back skull and moderate stop. Her jaws are powerful and she loves to retrieve and run around with dummies in her mouth.
Red has very kind, expressive eyes and she was very easy to train. She carries the strengths of her International Champions: mother, Elizabeth and father, Philip. Red was my pick of that litter. And I am so glad I kept her!
Her highness has developed very nicely. Her first litter with our stud, Gunnar, was born on December 21, 2013. The puppies were all deep fox red and have been placed all over the United States. We completed a breeding with Alfred the Great’s Trial By Jury (Grady) in 2015 and she had 10 puppies. All were very dark fox red and have become great examples of the AKC description of what a Labrador disposition and looks should be.
We bred Grady and Red again in 2018 and 11 pups were born on 02-16-2018. Again, the pups were all deep fox red with boxy heads and bodies. These three litters have been incredible and have made 25 homes very happy!
