Philip was an excellent example of a true, British, Fox Red Labrador Retriever. He came from a Champion, fox red father and his mother has many excellent Champions in the last 5 generations of her AKC pedigree. We started Philip in the show ring at the young age of 6 months. He accomplished his International Champion title when he was 17 months of age and was looking for majors. Philip developed very well with great conformation and a boxy, British Labrador build.

We decided to end his show ring career and he returned to the field and water work that he loved. He ranged nicely in the field, loved to retrieve and looked you in the eye with real respect when he brought in a pheasant, quail, goose or a duck. Philip was an eager, hard working hunter. He was so stately with his boxy build and how he held himself. We really miss him!

He sired gorgeous pups with Elizabeth in December of 2011 and Victoria in January of 2012. We kept his pups, Queen Redburga and Kinsey for hunting and breeding purposes. Philip also sired an excellent litter with Raven in 2013 and a litter with Judith in 2017. Two of his puppies with Raven, Finley and Farley, completed training with “Paws For Freedom” and became handicap assistance dogs. We also used Philip with Alana in 2020. We are so proud to use him as a stud dog which enabled us to continue his exceptional Fox Red, British Labrador lines, well into the future.
