Will was a fine representative of the breed. He performed in the toughest brush and hunting conditions and worked hard to please the hunters. He backed other pointers and retrieved with ease. His roaming was natural and good with an S pattern, and he backtracked with an X over the section to ensure he didn’t miss a bird. He was an excellent example of how a German Shorthair should perform in the field. His AKC pedigree was strengthened with FC and NFC and Dual Champions and the combination of the sire and dam’s pedigree lines created an excellent hunter and companion in this dog. He will be greatly missed by us all.
