German Shorthair Pointers

A dog so well trained it deserves its own shotgun

Registered Name:   Frederick’s Trial By Jury

Nickname:   Fred

Birth Date:   07/26/2013  Died:  11-08-2023

Fred

Fred was an incredible hunting companion!  He sure was a chip off of the old block!  His father, FC Keg Creek Rising Cooper is a very well known Shorthair who was named The German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America Field Trial Sire of the Year in 2008 and 2012, as well as the GSPCA Dual Producing Sire of the Year in 2012.  He was known to “produce a high caliber hunting dog or a hard-charging field trial prospect.”

Fred ‘s mother had plenty of field trial champions in her pedigree and she and the sire sure produced a very fine litter!  Fred was a very dedicated hunter and roamed the field smoothly and thoroughly with a moderate range.  He was so alert and attentive to the hunters and their commands, and retrieved the birds with ease,  even if they were alive and fighting!  He had a superior nose,  pointed hard and didn’t move until he got the command.  He was so easy to train, was truly an exceptional pointer and  a real treasure!  We are so proud and thankful to have had him helping to bring food to our table!  His love for us and for hunting will be missed. He will be talked about for many years.
