Edward

Edward, as we called him, was imported from England and a true hunting Labrador. He arrived from England with his sister, Annie when they were 3 months old. His father’s pedigree has 12 strong Field Trial Champions from England and Ireland in the last 5 generations. Perhaps more completed their titles after I purchased Edward. Field trials in Europe are formatted different than the United States and titles are more difficult to achieve. Both Annie and Edward showed a great drive and were excellent hunters and retrievers.

In training, Edward’s hunting skills developed very nicely which he completed in the fall of 2015. He worked well in the field, had a strong nose, covered the field with a smooth, zig-zag at a good range as he tracked back and forth. Edward checked in with you and then went back to hunting and initiated a new pattern when roaming the fields. He really wanted to find the birds! He had a great desire to please and flied into water with great leaps to swim fast and retrieve that bird! He was very comfortable on land and in water, and he hunted well with other dogs. We were very pleased with how he matured.

We used Edward in our breeding program with a litter from Alana, born 12-26-2018, The pups developed nicely and are great companions who brought food to the table like their dad! Edward’s pedigree broadened our genetic lines. Edward was quite an asset in our hunting experiences!
