Dan’s last hunt with us was during opening weekend of 2014, at the age of 12. Although his pace was slower, the performance was right on! He found the birds, held his point, retrieved the birds to hand. It was always more than a pleasure to hunt with Dan. He certainly had more than what it took to seek and find the birds. His nose was strong and he worked hard in the fields. He ranged close, yet covered the entire field.

This Shorthair was solid as a rock on his points. He retrieved with pride and laid the bird in your hand. Dan was a terrific representative of the German Shorthair Pointer and fit the AKC description to a “T”! His pedigree is loaded with NFC, FC, AFC titles from both American and Canadian Shorthairs on his father’s side and a CH German title on his mother’s side He came to us as a pup and began his training with Harold Adams. Our kennel grew and his training continued and was maintained by our staff. He sired a litter and produced great pups. The best time to get a photo of him was when he was on point….otherwise, he didn’t not approve of paparazzi as you can see in the photos. Dan will be greatly missed for many years to come.
