Past Litters
Kelsey-Murray Labrador Litter 2022
This will be Kelsey’s second litter. She created exceptional pointers, land and water retrievers from her litter in 2019 and these pups are developing nicely. Kelsey has a pedigree filled with Helm’s Point Doctor and Kellogg’s Junius PT and field trial champion dogs, as well as International Champions and show champions. [AKC Pedigrees do not show all of the titles achieved–only AKC event titles] About half of her pedigree has titled or Champion dogs. Successful hunters are in her genes and those genes are evident in her offspring.
We bred Kelsey because she has what makes Labradors such extraordinary hunting companions. Kelsey keys in on her owner at all times. She works the fields with a smooth pattern and is very alert to act on commands. When she is in a duck blind, Kelsey is focussed on the sky and duck and goose sounds — she does a better job watching for birds than the hunters she is with. Indeed, she is a great dog.
There are plenty of champions in both grandparents’ pedigrees from a variety of National and International Field Trial competitions. Take a look and you will see pointing, water and field competition titles, as well as multiple Hall of Fame dogs in their pedigrees. Labs can be taught to point, and few have the natural instinct that is extremely evident in so many dogs in these family trees. You can see why I have put Murray and Kelsey together—-let all of the historic genetic and natural abilities be instilled in these pups!
Murray, the sire, is the son of a very well known field trial champion: GRHRCH 4XGMPR HRK’s Rooster Smasher, MH QAA, CGC. Our Murray has inherited his father’s hunting skills to a “T”! Click on Murray’s name and view his page or view all of his parent’s pedigree details above.
Here are some of the facts on “Rooster”, APLA 4XGMPR (8-10), UKC Hunt test HRCH (10-12), GRHRCH (Grand Hunting Retriever Champion) (335 UKC points), AKC Master Hunter (6-7), & 1st Place Qualified All Age in his only filed trail ever entered.
“Rooster is a product of at least 5 Generations of Pointing Labs from Field Trial Champion bloodlines. He excels in looks and intelligence, is easy to handle and is calm on the line or in a blind with the drive to be a top competitor. Rooster is pre-potent passing his traits to his pups. Rooster is known for his off switch when not in the field, making him the perfect family/hunting companion. He is fox red and carries chocolate with a gentle personality and weighs 72 pounds.”

It is no surprise that Murray trained so fast and easy, has a very strong nose, is steady to shot. He sure perseveres in tracking, pointing and retrieving! There are so many multiple Grand Master Pointing Retrievers on both sides of Murray’s parents pedigrees that really confirm where his abilities have come from. We have used Murray as stud with Chloe and Kaelyn and the pups have been exceptional hunters, companions and working dogs with handicapped owners. Murray really is an incredible dog!
